VEA has launched an ‘Organizing to Bargain’ campaign with a goal of many Locals winning recognition as bargaining representative beginning May 2021, when the state’s new collective bargaining law takes effect. Dr. Fedderman convened a steering committee last week, and from the meeting, one of our first steps is to educate our members about how to take part in the path toward winning recognition and bargaining a contract. To that end, VEA’s Organizing and Field Support department is holding five regional Zoom meetings in January and February to guide Local efforts.
